Clinical Care Options creates and publishes Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs. I created an effective user experience that connected its
diverse group of health care providers.

website audit

A comprehensive audit of CCO’s existing website identified strengths and weaknesses in terms of the usability, user experience, technical performance and functionality. An eighty page summary report documented the findings, and laid out recommendations for the redesign.

Moodboards

In an effort to gather consensus among CCO’s multiple stakeholders, we presented several mood boards that represented potential design directions. The boards included photography style, color palette, typography, patterns and graphic elements for client consideration. With a selected direction, we were able to quickly move forward with the agreed upon visual tone.

Interface Planning

Applying best practices, I started with the sitemap (global view), then created wireframes indicating page-by-page content. Every key area and section of the site was mapped out to ensure both business and consumer needs were addressed.


Interface Design

As a company, CCO is divided into 8 divisions, and the website needed to reflect that—steering site traffic to the appropriate area. The new design system gave each section its own nuances, while maintaining an overall unified brand presence.

Iconography

By creating custom icons, I made it simple for users to identify programs, products
and services at a glance.
